Swan Mountain Ranch

Swan Mountain Ranch is a unique guest ranch facility located in Northwest Montana on the western border of the Bob Marshall Wilderness about an hour south of Glacier National Park.  Swan Mountain Ranch is operated year round.  We offer the best of cross country skiing and winter recreation, we house spring bears hunts, the ranch hosts weddings and family reunions throughout the fair weather months, and serves to host the many outfitted clients of Swan Mountain Outfitters.  Additionally, our cabin and lodge rooms are available for rent year round.

Located in the heart of the Swan Valley, Swan Mountain Ranch is a one-of-a-kind property.  Bordered on all four sides by Swan River Sate Forest, the nearest year round neighbor is over 7 miles away.  At Swan Mountain Ranch, you enjoy a serene setting away from it all taking in the beauty of the Swan Range that forms the western border of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex.  Cross country skiing in Montana does not get better then this.  The Swan Valley is renowned for deep rocky mountain powder, and we maintain 30 kilometers of groomed trails on Swan River State Forest land under permit.  Cross country ski enthusiasts can select the course for classic skiing or the corduroy runs for cross country ski skating. It is quite common for our cross country guests renting our cabin to be the only skiers on the course throughout their stay.  If you are looking for an intimate quiet cross country skiing experience in Montana, then look no further. With a nearly two acre pond, we ice skate on an oval only found in the Olympics! Through Swan Mountain Outfitters, we offer guided hunting trips and summer horse pack and fishing trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Flathead National Forest, Swan River State Forest and the scenic Swan Valley in northwest Montana.

Many folks are looking for a unique party venue for their family reunion or wedding.  Swan Mountain Ranch has hosted weddings and family reunions of as large as 200 people.  The ranch provides a unique and cost effective option to host a wedding and reception and house over 30 guests on site.  Many former customers have had guests with RVs and tents stay at the ranch as well.
