Where in Northwest Montana?
Swan Mountain Ranch is located southeast of Kalispell and Whitefish, Montana. Our ranch in the Swan-Seeley Valley, gateway to Glacier National Park, lies in the heart of the Rocky Mountains between the Swan and Mission Ranges forming the western edge of the continental divide, to the east of Flathead Valley. This area of northwest Montana is often referred to as “glacier country” and is filled with a rich abundance of wildlife due to the high concentration of protected wilderness areas.Glacier National Park is one of the most popular attractions in this area with its jutting mountains and twisting valleys and more than 50 glaciers and 200 lakes, waterfalls and thick forests covering some 1.2-million acres. Deer are among the most commonly spotted wildlife but elk, moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, wolves, grizzly and black bears roam Glacier National Park’s wild vastness and are often seen by visitors.
